Box Score 2 EAST ELMHURST, N.Y.— The Yeshiva softball team split a doubleheader with Globe Institute of Technology (Globe) on Sunday afternoon. The Maccabees lost the first game 7-5 and won the second game 13-9.
In game one, Yeshiva was led by
Deena Miller who was 2-for-3 with a run batted in, while
Kayla Applebaum,
Rachel Mirsky,
Melissa Appel and
Rebecca Kleiner had one hit each. Kleiner had a double and a run batted in.
In the second game,
Eliana Levy had a pinch hit double with the bases loaded in the fourth inning to highlight a seven run frame. She finished the day going 1-for-1 with three runs batted in.
Erin Potasnick was 1-for-2 with a double and two runs batted in, while Kleiner scored twice and had a run batted in during the nightcap.
Yeshiva is back in action on Thursday for a doubleheader against Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) foe St. Joseph's-Brooklyn at Padavan Preller Field at 4 p.m.
