FLUSHING, NY --- The Yeshiva University women's tennis team is off to their best start in years as they won against visiting St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 8-1, at the Queens College Tennis Courts in Flushing, New York.
With the victory, the Maccabees are now 3-0 in the Skyline Conference for the first time in years. At press time, they are tied atop the conference standings with Farmingdale State College. Their overall record stands at 3-2.
Junior
Tzipora Leiser took two points for Yeshiva, winning at number two singles, 6-2, 6-4 and teaming with senior
Galila Shapiro to win at number two doubles, 8-1.
Up next for Yeshiva, the team hosts the Rams of Farmingdale State for the top spot in the Skyline on Sunday at Queens College in a 5:00 p.m. match.
