Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's basketball team earned an impressive Skyline victory over the Sage Colleges, 82-72, at the Max Stern Athletic Center on Saturday evening. Yeshiva advances its record to 6-3 overall, and 4-2 in Skyline play, while Sage falls to 7-3 overall, and 5-1 in conference games. The Maccabees have now won four Skyline contests in a row.

Jordan Hod scored 17 points, dished out three assists, and forced just as many steals.
The key stretch of the game was the beginning of the second half. With Yeshiva hanging on to a 34-31 advantage, a tip-in by senior guard
Shaje Weiss began a 14-2 run for the Maccabees in a span of 3:08. A pair of free throws from Hod capped off the run after he stole the ball and drew a foul on the fast break. That would make the score 48-33 with 16:22 remaining in regulation time.
Sage rallied to pull within seven. Yeshiva answered right back by going on another 14-2 run, capped off by a layup from Rosenberg, to give Yeshiva its largest lead of the game, 64-45, with just over six minutes remaining. The Gators managed to shrink the Maccabees' lead to eight, late in the game, but Hod hit a pair of free throws with 20 seconds left to ice the contest and give Yeshiva the victory, 82-72.
Back in the first half, the Gators rallied from an early hole to take a 27-24 lead. That would be the last time the Maccabees trailed in the contest, as the home team went on a 10-4 run to go up, 34-31, heading into halftime. Yeshiva controlled the second half, outscoring first place Sage 48-41 to cement the key Skyline victory.
Weiss and junior forward
Michael Berg each scored 14 points, while freshman forward
Michael Hayon added 12.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Monday, for a Skyline game against St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn. The contest is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Hill Center.
