Box Score STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team suffered a non-conference loss to the College of Staten Island, 71-42, at the Sports and Recreation Center on Monday evening.

The Maccabees (0-12) were led by senior forward
Julia Owen, who scored a game-high 14 points, while dishing out six assists, grabbing five rebounds, and forcing four steals. Classmate
Rachel Mirsky added nine points, while junior forward
Simee Rosner and sophomore forward
Michal Alge added seven points each. Rosner grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds, while Alge grabbed 12 boards of her own.

Yeshiva scored the first points of the game, thanks to a three-point shot by Mirsky to give Yeshiva a 3-0 lead, just 44 seconds into the contest. The Dolphins (7-4) scored the next eight points and never looked back, as they went on to earn the win.

The Maccabees will be off for the next several weeks, but will return to action on Wednesday, January 20, for a Skyline match with Farmingdale State, at the Arc Arena. The contest is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.Â
