Box Score

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's basketball team suffered a 65-41 loss to Farmingdale State, on Wednesday evening, at George E. Nold Hall. The Rams are now 1-0 in Skyline play, and 2-3 overall, while the Maccabees drop to 0-3 in conference games, and 0-5 overall.

The leading scorer for Yeshiva was senior forward Rachel Mirsky, who scored 10 points. Sophomore forward Michal Alge had a game-high 10 rebounds, while scoring five points and forcing just as many steals. Senior guard Ester Kerzner added six points, while classmate Julia Owen dished a team-high three assists.

The Maccabees got off to a strong start, as Mirsky's pair of three-point shots put Yeshiva up 6-2 just over five minutes into the contest. The first quarter ended with Yeshiva protecting a 10-5 lead.

From that point on, the Rams took over control of the game by outscoring Yeshiva, 26-10, in the second stanza. The home team never looked back as the Rams earned their first conference win of the season.

Yeshiva will be back in action on Sunday, for a conference road match with Purchase, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
