NEW YORK, N.Y. – It is an action-packed night in Yeshiva University Athletics, as both the women's and men's basketball teams will be hosting Skyline Conference rivals, on Tuesday evening. The women's team will battle the Sage Colleges, at the ARC Arena on the campus of Baruch College, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The men's team will host St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn), at the Max Stern Athletic Center, beginning at 8:00 p.m.

On the women's side, Sage won both contests over Yeshiva in 2015-16. This season, YU is currently 2-3 overall, while looking for its first Skyline win.
Senior forward
Simee Rosner was inducted into the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, thanks to scoring 24 points and grabbing a career-high 26 rebounds against Purchase College, last Thursday. The forward also brought down 14 more boards at Farmingdale State, this past Sunday.
For the season, junior forward
Michal Alge is averaging a double-double with 17.2 points and 15.2 rebounds per contest, while forcing a team-high 13 steals this season. Rosner is also averaging a double-double with 11.2 points and 15 boards per contest, and has a team-high total of nine blocks in 2016-17. Senior forward
Tess Blaustein is averaging 8.5 points and just as many rebounds a game, while freshman guard
Laura Betesh has dished out 13 assists so far this season.
For the men, the Maccabees are 2-0 to open up Skyline play while the Bears are winless in two conference contests.
Yeshiva is coming off a key come-from-behind Skyline victory over St. Joseph's College L.I., 82-77, at the MSAC on Sunday afternoon. In that contest, senior forward
Dean Pienica led the team with 20 points, five assists, and three steals.
For the third week in a row, sophomore guard
Judah Cohen was inducted into the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll. He averaged 18.5 points over the course of Yeshiva's two Skyline wins this past week. He produced a game-high 18 points in the victory at Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday, and then added 19 points against St. Joseph's L.I. on Sunday.
So far in 2016-17, Cohen leads the team, with an average of 17.3 points per game, and has a team-high 13 steals for the season. Senior forward
Michael Berg has scored 12.7 points per game, with a team-high average of 7.3 rebounds per night. Freshman guard
Simcha Halpert is scoring 11.2 points per contest, while Pienica is averaging 10.3. Sophomore forward
Tal Gweta has a team-high six blocks so far this year.
