NEW YORK, N.Y. – Tuesday will be a historical evening as the Yeshiva University men's basketball program will be hosting its first playoff game since the 2001-02 season, taking on #5 Purchase College in the opening round of the Skyline Conference Championships. The game will take place at the Max Stern Athletic Center, beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Â
Yeshiva and Purchase split the two head-to-head matchups during the regular season, with the road team winning each contest. The last time these two teams faced each other was just this past Saturday, at the Max Stern Athletic Center. Although Yeshiva fell short, 77-75, history was made as senior forward
Shelby Rosenberg netted his 1,000
th career point, becoming just the 28
th player to do so in team history. He accomplished this feat by draining three consecutive free throws with less than one minute left.
