NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's basketball team will travel to Long Island, to battle #1 Old Westbury in the semifinals of the Skyline Conference Championships. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the Clark Athletic Center.

This is the second year in a row these two teams have met in the Skyline Championships. Last season, Yeshiva faced Old Westbury on the road in the first round, and fell by a score of 82-70.

Moving forward to this season, the #4 Maccabees are coming off a thrilling victory in the first round over #5 Purchase, 69-62, on Tuesday evening at the Max Stern Athletic Center. It was Yeshiva's first home playoff victory since 2002.

Old Westbury dominated the regular season, earning the #1 seed with a 16-4 conference record, including two victories against Yeshiva. The Panthers have been a tough matchup for the Maccabees in recent years, going 15-3 against Yeshiva in the regular season since 2007. The last time the Maccabees won at Old Westbury was in the first round of the Skyline Conference Championships, 88-82 in overtime, back in 2008

The Maccabees will be led by senior forward Shelby Rosenberg, who scores 18.6 points per game, and shoots .517 from the field this season. He grabs 7.5 rebounds, forces two steals, and blocks one shot per contest. Old Westbury will be led by junior guard Jamail Stanley who leads the team with averages of 21.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.
