Box Score 2 NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's volleyball team dropped both of its matches in the Skyline Conference Tri-Match, held at the Max Stern Athletic Center, on Sunday afternoon. The host Maccabees fell to the College of Mount Saint Vincent in straight sets and then lost to The Sage Colleges, 3-0.
In the first match against the Dolphins, set scores were 25-15, 25-13, and 25-15. The Maccabees were led by sophomore middle blocker
Itai Guttman, who slammed home three kills, while classmate
Mathew Rosenberg and sophomore outside hitter
Michael Klein each produced two. On defense, senior outside hitter
Kolya Miller had a team-high six digs, while senior libero
Jonathan Goldstein and Glaser each produced four.
In the second match against Sage, set scores were 25-15, 25-15, and 25-11. Klein and Guttman each chipped in on offense with four kills apiece, while Miller added three. Senior setter
Jorge Dabah had a team-high 10 assists, while Glaser helped anchor the defense with six digs. Goldstein helped neutralize Sage's attack with four digs, while Rosenberg added two.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Wednesday for a Skyline contest against St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn, at the Max Stern Athletic Center, beginning at 8:00 p.m.
