Box Score 2 BRONX, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University softball team dropped both ends of its non-conference doubleheader to New Jersey City University, on the campus of Fordham University, on Tuesday evening. The Maccabees lost game one, 9-3, while falling in game two by a score of 16-2.

Leading the way for the Maccabees was senior pitcher
Rachel Mirsky. She pitched two complete games and hit two home runs for the evening. In the second game, she gave up one earned run in five innings pitched, while going seven innings in the previous contest. At the plate, she hit a solo home run in the first game, and drilled a two-run homer in the second.

Senior third baseman
Erin Potasnick hit a triple and scored a run in the opening inning of the first contest, while sophomore first baseman
Michal Alge scored two runs during the doubleheader.

Yeshiva will open the Skyline portion of its schedule on Friday, when the Maccabees battle the Panthers, on the campus of Purchase College. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.Â
