Box Score 2 PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's volleyball team's season came to an end with a pair of Skyline Conference losses, on the campus of Purchase College, on Sunday afternoon. The Maccabees fell to the host Panthers and the College of Mount Saint Vincent in straight sets.
In the match against Purchase, set scores were 25-23, 25-14, and 25-22. Senior outside hitter
Kolya Miller and sophomore middle blocker
Itai Guttman led the attack for the Maccabees with nine kills apiece. Miller helped anchor the defense with 12 digs, while sophomore right-side hitter
Moshe Zippel recorded three blocks. Sophomore outside hitter
Michael Klein and senior libero
Jonathan Goldstein tallied seven digs each, while senior setter
Jorge Dabah had a team-high 13 assists.
In the contest against Mount Saint Vincent, set scores were 25-18, 25-12, and 25-11. Miller added eight more kills, while Zippel scored two service aces. Guttman produced four blocks, while Klein led the team in defense with seven digs. Dabah added nine more assists to help set up the Maccabees (5-19, 4-12 Skyline).
