Box Score 2 BRONX, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University softball team won both ends of its non-conference doubleheader, against the College of New Rochelle, at Fordham University on Tuesday evening. The Maccabees won the first game, 11-2, while coming out victorious in the second game, 12-0.

Rachel Siegel scored Yeshiva's sixth run on a single by sophomore utility player
Liat Wasserman.
The Blue Angels loaded the bases, with nobody out, in the top of the fourth. Mirsky had a strong response in the circle, by retiring the next three hitters, two of them by strikeouts, to get out of the jam.
In the bottom frame, Yeshiva scored five more runs. Potasnick's RBI triple scored Mirsky to extend Yeshiva's lead to 7-1. She would come around to score on an RBI double by Dubin to increase the Maccabees' lead to seven runs. In the next at-bat, Siegel singled to center to score Dubin, while Wasserman added a single before the end of the inning. Mirsky retired the Blue Angels in the fifth to pick up the win and pitched her 14
th complete game in the process.
For the game, Siegel went three-for-three, while Potasnick went two-for-two.
In the second game, Mirsky drove in two runs on a double as part of a four-run first inning for Yeshiva (5-10). The Maccabees scored eight runs in the bottom of the second to put the game out of reach for the College of New Rochelle (0-6).Â
Yeshiva will be back in action on Friday, for a Skyline Conference doubleheader against Farmingdale State, at Fordham University, beginning at 12:45 p.m.Â
