Box Score 2 OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University baseball team dropped both ends of a Skyline Conference doubleheader to the College at Old Westbury, out on Long Island, on Friday afternoon. The Maccabees fell in game one, 22-1, while dropping the second contest, 17-0.
In the first game, Yeshiva got its lone run in the fourth, as senior designated hitter
Samuel Rhodes produced a single to drive in junior outfielder
Chaim Rosenberg. For the contest, junior catcher
Shmuli Goldis produced two hits and drew a walk, while senior first baseman
Zachary Perl and Rosenberg produced one single each. Senior pitcher
Benjamin Barman started the game and struck out one hitter in four innings pitched to take the loss.
In the second contest, junior pitcher
Elan Paul pitched a complete game and produced a single at the plate.
The Maccabees will host St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Sunday, in a Skyline Conference doubleheader at Palisades Park, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
