The Macs look toward a promising season, hunting to break their program record of seven wins, which was set last season. YU is slated to play 32 games between March 2 and April 30.
This season, the Macs boast two returning captains, in senior shortstop
Hannah Dubin, who notched 12 hits last year, as well as junior first baseman
Michal Alge, who batted an impressive .362 in 2016. In addition, returners
Elisa Alweis,
Shoshana Rozenberg,
Liat Wasserman, and
Ellie Chase look to guide the five newcomers on the team with veteran experience.
Yeshiva possesses a slew of talented infielders in Dubin, Alge, Wasserman, and rookie
Gabi Chutter, with
Sarah Hiller behind the dish.
Devorah Lamm and
Leah Feder have been added to the outfield with centerfielder, Chase.
The pitching staff looks to become a force to be reckoned with, proudly featuring Alweis and newcomer
Samantha Cohen.
