NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's volleyball team dropped its Skyline Conference match to Ramapo College, in straight sets, at the Max Stern Athletic Center on Wednesday evening. Set scores were 25-17, 25-14, and 25-13.

The Maccabees (5-13, 2-5 Skyline) got off to a strong start in the opening set, as a kill by sophomore middle blocker Samuel Marcus gave Yeshiva a 4-3 advantage. After Marcus slammed home another kill to help the Macs regain the lead, Ramapo (16-10, 5-1 Skyline) scored three unanswered points to put Yeshiva behind. The Maccabees countered, as a kill by freshman setter Sander Eizen sparked the home team to tie the set at eight. However, the Roadrunners went on a 13-4 run to take a commanding 21-12 advantage. Yeshiva could not rally and fell in the first game by a score of 25-17.

Ramapo never trailed in the second stanza, and led from wire-to-wire in the third frame, to earn the conference sweep.

For the match, Marcus led all players with seven kills and had one block. Junior opposite hitter Mathew Rosenberg added five kills with two digs.
