Box Score 2 BRONX, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University softball team dropped both ends of its Skyline Conference double-header to Sarah Lawrence College, at Fordham University, on Sunday evening. The Maccabees fell in game one, 20-0, and were defeated in game two by a score of 15-1.
In game one, Sarah Lawrence scored nine runs in the first and never looked back. In the top of the second, junior pitcher Kamaron McNair helped her own cause by hitting a grand slam to give the Gryphons a commanding 15-0 lead.
For the Maccabees, junior left fielder
Devorah Lamm went 1-for-2 with a double in the opening game, while freshman third baseman
Gabi Chutter produced a single. Senior shortstop
Hannah Dubin earned two walks, while sophomore catcher
Sarah Hiller and junior right fielder
Shoshana Rozenberg each reached base once via base-on-balls.

Samantha Cohen struck out two batters in a complete game, but took the loss.
In the second end of the double-header, freshman catcher Mackenzie Mindish drilled a homer to left field to put the Gryphons (8-21-1, 4-14 Skyline) up 1-0, in the top of the first. Sarah Lawrence put up 11 runs in the top of the second to take a commanding advantage that would not be surrendered.

For the contest, Dubin went two-for-three with a triple and a single. Junior first baseman
Elisa Alweis reached base thanks to a walk. In the circle, Cohen fanned one hitter in her second complete game of the evening, but suffered the loss.
The Maccabees (2-12, 0-10 Skyline) will return to Fordham University on Tuesday, for a Skyline Conference double-header against Mount Saint Vincent, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Dolphins will be the official home team for both games. Â
