Box Score 2 FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University softball team dropped both ends of its Skyline Conference double-header to Farmingdale State, at the Farmingdale Softball Stadium, on Friday afternoon. The Maccabees dropped the first game 8-0, while falling in the second end by a score of 14-0.
Sophomore pitcher
Samantha Cohen pitched two complete games but suffered a pair of losses in the circle.
In the first game, junior center fielder
Ellie Chase produced a single, while senior shortstop
Hannah Dubin and sophomore catcher
Sarah Hiller each drew a walk.
The Maccabees kept the first game close through most of the way, but a five-run fourth by the Rams put the game out of reach for YU.
In the second contest, Farmingdale State (21-15, 11-5 Skyline) scored 12 runs in the third inning to take a commanding lead.
For the game, junior left fielder
Devorah Lamm went 2-for-2 with two singles. Classmate
Shoshana Rozenberg added a single of her own.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Sunday, for a Skyline Conference double-header at St. Joseph's College Brooklyn. The games will take place at American Legion Field, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
