Box Score 2 NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's volleyball team hosted a Skyline Conference Tri-Match at the Max Stern Athletic Center on Sunday afternoon. Yeshiva fell to St. Joseph's Long Island in straight sets in the first match, and lost to Mount Saint Vincent, 3-0, in the second contest.
In the match against the Golden Eagles (16-10, 4-3 Skyline), set scores were 25-10, 25-14, and 25-16. Freshman outside hitter

Samuel Marcus led the attack with five kills each, while junior opposite hitter
Mathew Rosenberg slammed home four. Senior libero
Hirschy Zaks led all players with 11 digs, while Rosenberg produced five and junior setter
Michael Klein recorded three. Freshman setter
Sander Eizen had a team-high eight assists, while Klein added five and Zaks chipped in with three helpers. Greenberg and Marcus each produced a block and Rosenberg scored a service ace. Senior middle blocker Tuvia Marks slammed home two kills and had one dig.
In the match against Mount Saint Vincent (15-10, 6-1 Skyline), set scores were 25-13, 26-24, and 25-9. After the Dolphins cruised in the first set, the Maccabees (5-15, 2-7 Skyline) pushed them to the limit in the second. A kill by Marcus gave Yeshiva a 15-10 advantage. After Mount Saint Vincent scored four unanswered points, YU regained momentum as a kill by junior middle blocker
Itai Guttman and a service ace from Greenberg made it 17-14, Yeshiva. CMSV would rally and take a 24-22 lead, putting Yeshiva on the cusp of falling behind 2-0 in the match.
The Maccabees would not go down without a fight, as a kill by Greenberg sparked two unanswered points by the home team, tying the game at 24. However, Mount Saint Vincent scored the next two points to win the stanza, 26-24. The Dolphins cruised in the third set to earn the sweep.
For the match, Greenberg had eight kills and five digs, both team-highs, and scored a service ace. Rosenberg added six kills with two digs, while sophomore outside hitter
Chaim Aryeh Rubin helped anchor the defense with four digs of his own. Eizen and Klein helped set up the attack with 11 and nine assists respectively. Marcus had a team-high two blocks, while Guttman slammed home three kills. Senior defensive specialist
Eytan Darrison scored a service ace, while Marks added a kill and a dig.
It was senior day as Yeshiva University honored its graduating seniors Darrison, Marks, and Zaks with a ceremony prior to the final match.
Yeshiva will conclude the 2017 season on Tuesday, with a non-conference match at Pratt, beginning at 8:00 p.m.
