Box Score 2 BRONX, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University softball team dropped both ends of its Skyline Conference double-header to St. Joseph's Long Island, at Fordham University, on Wednesday evening. Yeshiva lost game one, 13-1, while falling in the second game, 18-1.
The Golden Eagles scored five runs in the opening inning of the first game and never looked back. Yeshiva's lone run came in the home half of the fifth. Junior left fielder
Devorah Lamm started it off with a single to center field. She would later score all the way from first, thanks to an RBI double by junior first baseman
Elisa Alweis. That would be the only run scored for YU, as St. Joseph's earned the win, 13-1.

Leah Feder also reached base with a single. Sophomore pitcher
Samantha Cohen pitched a complete game in the circle, but took the loss.
In game two, the Golden Eagles (9-7, 6-0 Skyline) exploded for six runs in the first to break the game open early. Once again, Yeshiva (2-10, 0-8 Skyline) got its lone run in the fifth inning. Junior center fielder
Shoshana Rozenberg hit a line drive single off the pitcher. Later, she would come around to score thanks to an RBI triple by Feder. It would not be enough, as St. Joseph's earned the sweep.
Cohen once again went the distance in the circle, but suffered another loss. Senior shortstop
Hannah Dubin added a single.
Yeshiva will return to Murphy Field on Sunday, April 23, for a Skyline Conference double-header against Sarah Lawrence College, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
