NEW YORK, N.Y. – This week's Yeshiva University Student-Athletes of the Week are a pair of basketball players, senior forward Michal Alge and junior forward Gabriel Leifer.

Alge led the women's basketball team to two victories this week, including a Skyline win. Against King's College (N.Y.), Alge had a solid game with 12 points, eight boards, a game-high seven steals, and four assists. In the victory over the Gryphons, the Boston native produced a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds, while dishing out five assists and forcing three steals.

Leifer had a strong game at 2018 NCAA Final Four participant Ramapo College, producing a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. The second-year player also distributed four assists and collected three steals. Leifer generated another double-double in the home opener against Sarah Lawrence College, by scoring 18 points and bringing down 13 boards. He also dished out seven assists, blocked five shots, and forced three steals.
