NEW YORK, N.Y. – This week's Yeshiva University Student-Athletes of the Week are junior forward Tehilla Teigman of the women's basketball team, and third-year guard Simcha Halpert of the men's basketball team.

Teigman was named Honorable Mention by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association, this past Tuesday. The Houston native produced 22 points and grabbed seven boards at Purchase College, on Thursday evening.

Halpert eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone in Yeshiva's victory at Purchase. The Los Angeles resident produced 17 points, while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out four assists, to lead Yeshiva to a win at Farmingdale State, on Tuesday. He now has 1,040 career points which ranks him 27^th on the program's all-time scoring list.
