The Macs look toward a promising season, hunting to break their program record of seven wins, which was set two seasons ago. YU is slated to play 30 games between March 15 and April 29.
Â
This season, the Macs boast two returning captains, in senior pitcher/first-baseman
Elisa Alweis who notched 10 put-outs last year, as well as junior catcher
Sarah Hiller who is the team's most experienced catcher. In addition, returners
Gabi Chutter,
Leah Feder,
Ellie Chase, andÂ
Batya Schreier, look to guide the ten newcomers on the team with veteran experience.
Â
Yeshiva possesses a slew of talented infielders in Chutter, Cohen, as well as welcoming rookies
Chana Boltax,
Chana Weinberg,
Rivka Lindenblatt,
Yael Itskowitz,
Malky Perlberger,
Sarah Elspas and short-stop
Basya Goldstein. Hiller will be behind the plate. Rookies
Tehilla Teigman,
Shani Breitstein, and
Courtney Marks have been added to the outfield with center fielder Chase and right fielder Feder.
Â
The pitching staff looks to become a force to be reckoned with, proudly featuring Cohen and Alweis.
