In the latest Skyline Conference standings, Yeshiva (3-15, 2-7 Skyline) is currently a half game behind St. Joseph's College Brooklyn for the fourth and final playoff seed. With a win, the Maccabees would move into a tie with the Bears. St. Joseph's has already finished its regular season, while YU plays its final regular season contest on Tuesday. Yeshiva would win the tiebreaker over SJCB because the Macs won five sets, while the Bears won four, over the course of their two head-to-head meetings this season.

Sarah Lawrence (0-22, 0-9 Skyline) will look to play spoiler. In their first meeting, back on March 11, the Gryphons won the first two sets to take a commanding lead in the match. Yeshiva rallied to win the next three sets to earn the thrilling come-from-behind five-set Skyline victory.

Leading the way for the Maccabees has been junior outside hitter Chaim Aryeh Rubin, who tops the team with an average of 2.15 kills per set. The Skokie resident is also producing 1.82 digs per stanza and has 16 blocks. He has earned a spot on the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll three times.

Making an impact in just his first season, has been sophomore opposite hitter Derek Orenshein, who has anchored the defense with a team-high 1.83 digs per set. On offense, he is slamming home 1.24 kills per game. Orenshein has been named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week twice. Freshman setter Isaac Pomerance has a team-high 4.28 assists per set.

If the Maccabees get into the Skyline Conference championships as the fourth seed, Yeshiva will play the No. 1 seed Golden Eagles, at St. Joseph's Long Island, on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
