NEW YORK – This week's Yeshiva University Student-Athletes of the Week are sophomore guard Rebecca Malech of the women's basketball team, and senior guard Bar Alluf of the men's basketball team.

Malech was the hero in Yeshiva's thrilling 79-77 Skyline victory over host St. Joseph's College Long Island, this past Sunday, by hitting the game-winning shot with 2.4 seconds remaining in regulation, breaking the 77-77 tie. The West Orange native grabbed three offensive rebounds in the final minute of play that helped set up her game-clinching shot.

Alluf helped lead the Maccabees to three Skyline road victories, this past week. In YU's win over the Golden Eagles on Sunday, Alluf tallied a season-best 17 points to go along with three boards and just as many assists. Earlier in the week, he produced 10 points and five rebounds at St. Joseph's College Brooklyn.
