No. 2 Men's Basketball To Battle Eastern Connecticut State in Home Opener on Wednesday

NEW YORK - The nationally ranked No. 2 Yeshiva University men's basketball team will host Eastern Connecticut State, in the home opener at the Max Stern Athletic Center, on Wednesday evening. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

The Maccabees begin the year with a 2-0 record after earning victories against Lycoming College and Penn State Schuylkill over the weekend. This will be the season opener for the Warriors.

Fans are permitted to attend tomorrow's home opener at 70% capacity. Doors open 75 minutes before tip-off. In order to attend tomorrow's game, as well as all our indoor events this season, you must bring proof of full vaccination (defined as two weeks after your final dose). All spectators have to remain masked at all times. Children under 12 are not permitted to attend the games.

Yeshiva University and the Skyline Conference ask all coaches, student-athletes, spectators, and administrators to conduct themselves in a manner which upholds good sportsmanship. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including inappropriate verbal remarks, will be subject to Skyline Conference and Yeshiva University sanctions, including immediate ejection. The No. 2 Maccabees are led by D3hoops.com Preseason All-Americans Ryan Turell and Gabriel Leifer. During the first two games, Turell is averaging 28 points per game and is shooting 76.6% from the field, including 71.4% from 3-point range. Leifer is averaging nine points, 10 rebounds, and six assists so far this year. The reigning Skyline Rookie of the Year Ofek Reef is scoring 17.5 points per contest, while All-Met honoree Eitan Halpert is netting 12.5 points per game.
