#4 Women's Tennis to Battle #1 Farmingdale State College in Skyline Semifinal Match on Thursday

NEW YORK – The Yeshiva University women's tennis team will compete in the Skyline Conference Championships, beginning on Thursday. The Maccabees will be the No. 4 seed and will battle the top-seeded Rams of Farmingdale State College. at the Farmingdale Tennis Courts. First serve on Thursday is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. This marks the first appearance in the conference postseason by the Macs since 2019.

YU (5-3) earned its spot in the Skyline Conference Championships by winning the final match of the regular season against Sarah Lawrence College, 6-3, back on Tuesday evening.

Farmingdale (10-4) won every match in league play this year and will look to advance to the conference championship match for the fourth year in a row.

In their head-to-head matchup during the regular season, Farmingdale won by a score of 8-1 on its home courts, back on September 7.

Leading the way for the Maccabees this year have been rookies Sarah Leiderman and Shira Adler, who are both 6-2 in singles play. Leiderman is 5-2 in doubles competition, while Adler won five out of eight doubles flights during the season.

For the Rams, senior Anastasia Hoffman went 7-5 in first singles flights this year, and earned an impressive 10-3 record in No. 1 doubles competition.
