NEW YORK - The Yeshiva University softball team will begin the 2023 season with a doubleheader at University of Valley Forge, on Thursday afternoon, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The full 2023 schedule can be seen

Yeshiva has a big roster this year with 22 players who will be competing for the Maccabees. Nine of the 22 players are rookies highlighted by sophomore pitcher
Alexis Leibowitz, who was a standout pitcher at Beth Tfiloh, in Baltimore, Md. While pitching in high school, Leibowitz was selected to the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland All-Conference team.
The Maccabees will have 13 returners on the team, including seniors
Yael Dannenbaum,
Chana Fischer,
Saraleah Lakritz,
Elisheva Miller,
Esther Miller,
Emuna Shiller, and
Emily Zrihen.
YU will be led by Head Coach
Matthew Kaldon who is entering his first season with the program. He will be assisted by
Jillian Serraro, who enters her fifth year on the coaching staff, as well as YU softball alumnae
Erin Potasnick ('16, sixth season) and
Sarah Hiller ('19, first season).
