FARMINGDALE, NY - Taking part in the apex meet of the 2024 season, the Yeshiva Women's Cross Country Team showed out at the Skyline Conference Championship Meet, finishing 10th of 11 teams on Sunday, Nov. 3.
The Maccabees competed alongside runners from the other 10 Skyline programs: The United States Merchant Marine Academy, Maritime College, Mount Saint Mary College, Sarah Lawrence College, St. Joseph's University Long Island, Farmingdale State College, Purchase College, St. Joseph's University Brooklyn, The College at Old Westbury and Mount Saint Vincent University.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Improving on her sixth place finish at last year's Skyline Championship, Danielle Pancer raced ahead of her teammates, finishing fourth with a time of 25:15.2. Pancer's result was good enough to secure a spot on the All-Conference First-Team, the first time that a Maccabee has earned such an honor since 2014.
- Also finishing in the top 60 runners, Bryna Berger placed 51st with a time of 33:59.8, and Dina Bendel placed 57th with a time of 35:10.3.
- Rounding out the field for the Macs, Sara Lesczynski finished 75th at 39:33.1, Naomi Klinghoffer finished 82nd at 45:58.3 and Sarale Goldberger finished 83rd at 47:00.8.
