NEW YORK, NY - Danielle Pancer has won the Stan Watson Award, as announced at the Yeshiva Athletics Banquet.
Stan Watson was coach of the men's cross country program for 25 years until he stepped down in 2012. In his honor, to commemorate what Stan has meant to the program and to the athletic department as a whole, we present the Stan Watson Award. This award is given annually to the male or female cross country runner who shows the dedication to training, leadership, and strength of character we came to associate with Stan.
Pancer is a student-athlete who embodies these traits. A relentless runner unafraid to show her dedication to her craft, she finished fourth overall at the Skyline Conference Championship, locking down a First-Team All-Conference selection.
