NEW YORK, NY - Stuffing yet another award into the Men's Basketball Trophy case,
Ezra Sicklick has earned the Red Sarachek Award, as announced at the Yeshiva Athletics Banquet.
Given in honor of former YU men's basketball coach and member of the Maccabee Hall of Fame, Bernard "Red" Sarachek, the award is garnered by the men's basketball player who "best demonstrates the teamwork, dedication and selflessness associated with the former coach."
Despite not playing big minutes, Sicklick proved a pivotal part of the Yeshiva men's basketball program, demonstrating to his squad a sense of effort, determination and commitment that could only hope to be emulated by the best of the best. Having walked on to the team earlier in the year, the New Jersey native appeared in eight games for the Maccabees, totalling 22 minutes, four points and a steal.
