MADISON, NJ - Competing in the culminating event of their season, the Yeshiva Men's Fencing Team took part in the MACFA Championship on Sunday, Mar. 2nd.
Facing off against fencers from 12 other schools, the Maccabees crossed swords with: Johns Hopkins University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Cornell University, Stevens Institute of Technology, Lafayette College, Haverford College, Drew University, William & Mary College, the United States Naval Academy, Rutgers University, Hunter College, and the University of Maryland.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Maccabees finished 11th overall as a team, beating out both Hunter and Maryland.
- Yeshiva placed 13th in foil, seeing wins out of both Aden Lyons and Samuel Wallach.
- The Macs came in 12th in epee, with Aaron Bonert and Emmit DeHart both picking up a pair of wins.
- YU's best performance came in sabre, finishing 10th thanks four bout wins from Avy Nakache.
