Samet has earned the veritable monsoon of accolades following a truly special week. Leading the Maccabees to a pair of conference wins against St. Joseph's University Long Island and the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Samet averaged 44 points on 69% shooting, including 60% from beyond the arc. The Monsey native put up 35 points against SJLI, and while certainly an impressive performance, his masterpiece came versus USMMA. In YU's 110-72 win over the Mariners, Samet tallied 52 points, breaking the Yeshiva Men's Basketball single-game scoring record, a mark that had stood since the Legendary Ryan Turell set it at 51 back in November of 2021.
Samet and Men's Basketball are set to return to the court on Wednesday, Feb. 4th at 7:00 PM, when they will travel out to Maritime College.
