NEW YORK, NY - Taking on two tournaments at the same time, the Yeshiva Golf Team split the squad, placing third at Rutgers University Camden's Scarlet Raptors Invitational, and 12th at Stevens Institute of Technology's Battle at Basking Ridge on Tuesday, Apr. 14th.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Scarlet Raptor Invitational
- The Maccabees clashed with three other squads, teeing off alongside Rutgers-Camden, Stockton University, and Montclair State University.
- As a team, Yeshiva finished third with a score of 345 (+65), beating out Montclair.
- Individually, the Macs were led by Pinny Ehrenfeld, as the sophomore finished third with a score of 78 (+8).
- Also finishing in the top 10, Israel Bromberg tied for eighth with a score of 86 (+16)
- Rounding out the YU side, James Goldschmiedt tied for 15th at 88 (+18), and Abraham Fessel finished 21st at 103 (+33).
HOW IT HAPPENED - Battle at Basking Ridge
- The Maccabees faced off against 11 other teams, golfing with their counterparts from: Stevens, Scranton University, Stevens-B, Kean University, Arcadia University, Drew University-B, William Paterson University, Eastern University, Manhattanville University, St. Joseph's University Long Island, and FDU-Florham.
- As a team, Yeshiva finished 12th with a score of 363 (+79).
- Individually, the Macs were led by Gavi Steinlauf, with the senior captain tying for 18th with a score of 79 (+8).
- Also competing for YU, Josh Anziska tied for 55th at 91 (+20), Akiva Schanzer tied for 58th at 93 (+22), and Isaac Berry tied for 62nd at 100 (+29).
