NEW YORK, NY – The women's fencing team took on CCNY and Hunter College on Sunday morning at CCNY. The Lady Macs fell to Hunter 15-12 and CCNY 17-10, although the Epee squad for Yeshiva won both competitions. Yeshiva is now 2-14 on the season.
Against CCNY, the Epee squad won 5-4 behind three wins from
Elizabeth Penn.
Avigayil Goldson won the other bout for the epee squad. Getting wins in foil were
Jill Joshowitz and
Eliana Shaul.
Michal Gilboa won twice in sabre and
Rebecca Sperling won 1 bout.
Penn stayed perfect on the day, winning all three of her bouts against Hunter.
Tali Kern accounted for two epee wins, and Goldson got another.
Dana Robinson, Shaul, and Joshowitz each won a foil bout. Gilboa won two sabre bouts, and
Abigail Phillips won another.
Yeshiva will host Queens College on Wednesday at 730PM in the 11th floor gym at Stern College. Earlier this season, Yeshiva defeated Queens 15-12.
