Rebecca Yoshor (Houston, Texas) led all players with 18 points and 17 rebounds Tuesday night at Baruch's ARC Arena, lifting the Yeshiva University women's basketball team to a 2-2 record on the 2012-13 season with a 92-22 triumph over visiting Vaughn College.
Yoshor compiled her double-double by halftime (13 pts., 11 reb. in 13 min. played), and led a quartet of Maccabees players who scored in double figures against the Warriors. Sophomore guard and reigning Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week,
Stephanie Greenberg (Cedarhurst, N.Y.) filled the stat sheet with a double-double of her own (16 pts., 10 reb.), to go along with four assists and a game-high six steals.
Naomi Gofine (Toronto, Ont.) picked up a double-double in the post for YU with 10 points and 16 boards, while
Haley David (New York, N.Y.) added 13 points to the winning effort.
Yeshiva held a sizeable 79-31 edge on the glass, and held scoring edges of 66-12 in the paint and 38-4 margin in second-chance points to get back to the .500 mark.
