NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Yeshiva women's fencing team earned a win on Wednesday evening as the Maccabees beat city rival Hunter College, 19-8, in front of a well attended crowd at 245 Lex.
Yeshiva won all three disciplines, winning 7-2 in epee, 6-3 in foil and 6-3 in sabre. It was the Maccabees' first win of the season.
Yakira Abramowitz,
Gabriela Dobkin and
Zelda Salfati all went 3-0 on the evening as Abramowitz went undefeated in sabre, Dobkin in foil and Salfati in epee.
Aviva Zaghi earned her first NCAA win in foil, she went 2-1 on the evening.
