Box Score TEANECK, NJ --- The Yeshiva University men's soccer team won 9-5 against visiting Berkeley College in their regular season finale on Friday at Votee Park in Teaneck, New Jersey.
The Maccabees (7-7-2) were led by senior midfielder
Daniel Amar (Dimona, Israel / Laymen) with four goals, including two successful penalty kicks. Junior forward
Itamar Ben David (Tel-Aviv, Israel / Mikva-Israel) continued his brilliant season with two goals – including the eventual game winner - and two assists.
The Knights' (14-6) forward Hasan Sezer tallied three goals on the day.
Yeshiva got on the board just 2:50 into the game with a strike from senior forward
Rafi Friedman (Teaneck, N.J. / Frisch School) with an assist by Ben David. After a goal from Amar, the Maccabees seemed to be in control with a 2-0 advantage. Berkeley scored five unanswered goals, going into halftime with a 5-3 advantage after Ben David scored off a free kick just before the break.
In the second stanza, Yeshiva exploded with six goals, taking the lead off one of Ben David's strikes in the 75
th minute and never looking back. Junior forward
Adir Alon (Haifa, Israel / Leo Baeck) scored twice and sophomore goalkeeper
Maor Feinstein (Gold Coast, Australia / Havat Hanoar Haziony) recorded four saves in a perfect second half after entering the game at the break.
It was senior day for the Yeshiva men's soccer team, as the Maccabees' seven outstanding seniors were recognized by head coach Joshua Pranksy and their teammates prior to the game. Amar and Friedman were joined by fellow seniors defender

Moishi Eisenmann (Amsterdam, Holland / Luzac College). All seven individuals have made incredible contributions not only to the men's soccer program but to the Yeshiva community as a whole. Although their playing careers may be coming to an end, they will forever be part of the Maccabee family.
Yeshiva will begin their postseason on Sunday when they play in their first Skyline Conference playoff match in school history as they travel to Farmingdale State College for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
