NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University men's volleyball team dropped a non-conference matchup to John Jay College, in straights sets, at the Doghouse on Sunday afternoon. Set scores were 25-7, 25-10, and 25-15.
 
Freshman outside hitter Jonathan Greenberg slammed home a match-high nine kills, while producing three digs.  Junior middle blocker Itai Guttman and sophomore outside hitter Chaim Aryeh Rubin each scored two kills, with the latter chipping in on defense with two digs. Senior libero Hirschy Zaks anchored the defense for the Maccabees (1-6) with six digs. Junior setter Michael Klein had 10 assists.
 
Yeshiva will play its first Skyline match of the season on Tuesday, at Sarah Lawrence College, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
