POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University women's fencing team competed in the Vassar College Invitational, at the Walker Field House, on Sunday afternoon. YU dropped team duels to Army (25-2), Fairleigh Dickinson University (20-7), Wellesley College (26-1), Haverford College (16-10), Sacred Heart University (26-1), Drew University (23-4), and Hunter College (12-10).
The epee and foil teams earned victories over Hunter College, 5-2 and 5-4 respectively. Senior

Gal Gir each earned one NCAA win in epee. In foil, junior
Liel Silverstone went 3-0, while sophomore
Talya Stehley won two out of three duels.
Yeshiva's foil team picked up a 6-3 victory over Haverford. Silverstone and Stehley each earned one NCAA victory. In sabre, Graff and Gir each won an NCAA bout of their own.
In the team duel against FDU, Graff and Gir each earned another win in sabre, while Silverstone went 2-1 in foil battles. Freshman
Sabrina Lazbin earned a foil victory of her own.
Silverstone earned two more foil victories against Drew, while Lazbin won a bout. Graff picked up another sabre win.
Gir and Lazbin each earned a win over West Point, while Graff was victorious in a bout against Wellesley. Silverstone won a duel against Sacred Heart.
The Maccabees will return to the Walker Field House, for the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invitational, next Sunday. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m.
