FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University women's fencing team competed in the Queens College Invitational on Sunday. Yeshiva earned its first win of the season, over the City College of New York, by a score of 16-11.The Maccabees fell to LIU Post, 15-12, and the host Knights, 16-11.
Against CCNY, the Saber team won by a score of 9-0. Junior

Gal Gir each won two bouts, while sophomore

Brielle Broder each earned one victory. The Epee team earned a narrow, 5-4, victory. Junior

Batsheva Lasky each won a duel. In foil, sophomore

Odelia Tordjman each earned a victory, the first collegiate victory of the latter's career.
Gir won two out of three foil bouts against Queens, while Graff picked up a win of her own. The Epee team dominated for an 8-1 win, led by Lasky and Dobkin, who each went 2-0 against the opposition. Sophomore
Rebecca Siegel earned her first collegiate victory.
Yeshiva will be back in action on Sunday, for the Eastern Women's Fencing Conference championships, held at Johns Hopkins University. The competition will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m.
