NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University Athletics Department has announced its first set of Student-Athletes of the Week for the 2018-19 season, on Wednesday. The honorees are senior Ayelet Itzhak of the women's cross country team and freshman forward Jonah Beberman of the men's soccer team.

Itzhak was the first Yeshiva runner to cross the finish line at the Adelphi Panthers Invitational, on Friday afternoon. She completed the race in 26:44.90, and averaged 8:36 per mile.

Beberman scored the game-winning goal during the second half of Yeshiva's 3-1 victory over Green Mountain College, on Sunday. It was the first goal of his collegiate career.
