MADISON, N.J. – The Yeshiva University women's fencing team competed in the Drew University Holiday Invitational, at the Simon Forum, on Sunday afternoon. YU dropped bouts to Wagner College (24-3), Stevens Institute (26-1), New Jersey Institute of Technology (17-8), Long Island University (21-5), host Drew University (24-3), Fairleigh Dickinson University (15-9), and the University of Florida (22-5).

Batsheva Lasky went 2-1 in epee duels against Wagner. Her teammates, junior
Adina Passy and sophomore
Michelle Naim each earned one victory in epee combat. Lasky picked up YU's sole win against Stevens.
Each weapon earned a victory against Long Island University. The winners were sophomore
Ilana Aidman (sabre), junior
Talya Stehley (foil), and Lasky (epee).
In Yeshiva's first meeting with Drew, Lasky took two out of three epee bouts, while Naim added an epee victory of her own. Lasky led the Maccabees against FDU, going 2-1, while Passy added an epee victory.
Lasky won all three bouts against Florida, while Passy picked up yet another victory. Aidman was victorious in one foil bout.
Against NJIT, Lasky went 1-1.
The women's fencing team will compete in the EWFC championships, on Sunday, February 16, at Hunter College. The action is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
