TEANECK, NJ - Heading across the river to compete at a tri state rival, the Yeshiva women's fencing team took part in the FDU Invitational on Sunday, Feb. 11.
Competing in six of the seven rounds, the Macs faced off against: Fairleigh Dickinson University, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hunter College, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Drew University and The City College of New York.
Following the tournament, the Macs now sport a 4-33 record.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Starting off the day slow, the Macs struggled against a number of strong opponents, falling 4-22 to FDU in round two, 0-27 to Stevens in round three, and 4-16 to Hunter in round four.
- Continuing to fight in the latter rounds, Yeshiva fell by a score of 1-24 versus NJIT, and 4-23 against Drew University.
- YU's best bout of the day came in the final round versus CCNY, in which the Macs posted nine points thanks to excellent swordwork from Rachel Jian, Leora Schramm, Yitta Weinheber, Nikki Bittman and Sarah Tobias.

The Macs will travel to Drew University for the EWFC Championships on Sunday, Feb. 18.
