NEW YORK, NY - Adding yet another accolade to an already storied career, former Yeshiva University Men's Basketball Coach Dr. Jonathan Halpert '66 has been inducted into the New York State Basketball Hall of Fame.

A proud alumnus of the Yeshiva University High School for boys and Yeshiva University for both his undergraduate and doctoral studies, Halpert remains the longest ever tenured NCAA men's basketball coach in New York City at 42 years, and currently holds the title of fourth-longest tenured coach nationwide. When he finally stepped away in 2014, the legend left with 416 wins to his name.
Halpert has remained an active part of the YU community, being named to the Yeshiva Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023, as well as serving as the namesake for the basketball court in Wilf Campus, an honor bestowed onto him in 2012.
