BETHPAGE, NY - Taking on their first meet of the season, the Yeshiva Women's Cross Country team showed out for the blue and white, placing ninth of 13 teams at the Adelphi Panthers XC Invitational.
Facing off against a number of the Skyline competition in the 5k, the Maccabees beat out the likes of St. Joseph's University Long Island, SUNY Old Westbury and Farmingdale State College.
The Maccabees also welcomed a trio of fresh faces to the Yeshiva family out in Bethpage, with
Moselle Goldstein,
Bryna Berger and
Lee Sauer all suiting up in YU blue for the first time.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Looking to follow up a season that saw her named to the All-Skyline Second-Team, Danielle Pancer recorded a dynamite performance for the Maccabees, placing 20th overall, with a time of 21:52.6.
- Goldstein rounded out the top-50 for the Macs, slotting in at 37th with a time of 23:09.4.
- Rounding out the field for Yeshiva, Shani Mizrahi placed 64th with a time of 27:08.7, Berger placed 75th with a time of 28:34.9, Sauer placed 80th with a time of 30:52.4 and Sara Lesczynski placed 88th with a time of 33:10.6.
UP NEXT
Competing again in just a week's time, the Macs will travel up to Iona University for the Br. John "Paddy" Doyle Meet of Champions.
