NEW YORK, NY - Menachem Solomon has earned the Aaron Meyer Award, as announced at the Yeshiva Athletics Banquet.

It has only been 16 years since YU suffered a horrific loss with the tragic death of Aaron Meyer, our long-time athletic trainer. Aaron was a wonderful friend and a better person. He loved Yeshiva Athletics and bragged about working here to whoever would listen. Aaron didn't know the meaning of the word "No" and gave selflessly of his time and energy to ensure that our athletes were able to play. In his memory we annually present the Aaron Meyer Memorial Award to the student-athlete who best demonstrates the spirit, selflessness, and dedication to his/her team and the Athletics program that is associated with Aaron Meyer.

Solomon went above and beyond for both his teammates and Yeshiva Athletics as a whole. On the court he is a stellar volleyball player, consistently putting up excellent stats despite this being just his first year with the team. Off the court he has sacrificed many an hour to help maintain the smooth running YU Athletics, helping manage a steady flow of student workers to each and every contest.
