Marty Craft Tabbed Athletics Compliance Coordinator

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yeshiva University Athletics Department has announced the hiring of Marty Craft as the compliance coordinator, on Tuesday. His responsibilities will include certifying eligibility of student-athletes, administering NCAA and institutional forms for student-athletes and staff, filing waiver requests with the NCAA, etc.

"It is an exciting time to be involved with YU Athletics," Craft said. "The obvious passion Joe Bednarsh has for improving and growing the sports programs at YU is distinct. It is a privilege to be selected to play a role in the evolution of this vision. For the past year, I have also seen how tireless Greg Fox, Carly Moss, and the rest of the Athletics senior staff are at providing student-athletes and coaches with outstanding guidance and support. I am looking forward to the experience of working with such a collaborative and professional group."

Craft is no stranger to the Yeshiva University Athletics Department, as he is entering his second season as head coach of the baseball program.

"Marty is a straight shooter and true professional," Yeshiva University Director of Athletics, Mr. Bednarsh said. "He will be on top of every aspect of our program no matter how big or small. Adding another professional and experienced person to the staff is going to help us continue our march of excellence and propel us forward. I'm looking forward to Marty putting his stamp on the program."

A resident of Hoboken, N.J., Craft earned his B.A. in Mass Communications from California State University - East Bay, in 1988.
